Talk: Krishna Saraswat

Ashok was my roommate while we were students at Stanford. He was a thorough gentleman with a perennial smile on his face. In my association of over 4 decades with him I never saw him angry. He was a great scholar, an innovator, a deep thinker and a natural leader. He exceled in everything he did, whether it was academics, sports, or anything else. His knowledge was wide and deep. You could discuss almost anything with him and he would be able to go in depth even if it was not the area of his expertise. Whenever I got involved in a discussion with him eventually I had to agree with his viewpoint. He and Mala were a perfect couple, made for each other. I cherished his friendship. We will miss him a lot.
