I have worked in Ashok's team at MSR for the past two years, and I knew Ashok even earlier when I was interning at the team 3 years ago. I am so grateful to have Ashok as my manager, my mentor and my friend, he was so kind and full of wisdom, I have learned so much from him and he has helped me in so many ways.
Ashok was such an optimistic person. I know it must be so difficult to fight the cancer, but I remember every time Ashok and I discussed about his treatment and progress he always had a positive attitude and even sometimes made jokes about it. And I had always believed that he would have recovered. Our team were actually planning a thank-you lunch to Ashok after we all landed the next job, until we heard he was admitted to hospital and a few days later the sad news.
My deepest condolences for your loss again, and may Ashok rest in peace in heaven.
