I am distraught and so deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our dearest, dearest friend Ashok. I am heartbroken and will miss him tremendously. He will always remain in my heart for who he was, a sincere and dear friend. I will never ever forget his smiling face, optimistic outlook, love for life and for his family and friends. His face would light up any room with an infectious smile and his hugs were always heartfelt.
All of us in the Vaish and now Vaish/Parvin family loved him dearly and we are hurting at the news of his passing. We however are privileged to have so many wonderful memories of the great human being that he was and feel honored to have know him.
Please at this moment accept my heartfelt condolence. I pray that his soul rests in peace and that the Almighty gives you all, his family, peace and solace in the loving and fond memories of the amazing and wonderful years that you spent together as a happy couple, proud parents, adoring kids and proud grandparents.

Gita and I heard the news just moments ago and are overwhelmed at Ashok’s suddenly leaving us. We feel the huge loss of a great friend, a giant of a human being and an unparalleled intellect. I have myself felt Ashok’s energy, learned from his insights and profited from his guidance. He has been there for life’s best moments: holidays, birthdays, celebrations, world travel, or just chatty, fun-filled evenings. We have laughed together, seen our children grow up, seen them graduate and get married and shared thoughts on every aspect of life. The wheel of life has brought us much and blessed us at every turn.
Your loss, as you shared your life with him, is hard for us to completely fathom, but we can imagine how enormous it must be. If we could we would like to share it with you and make it even a little bit less painful. But I know we can’t, so all I want to say at this time is: We love you and always will. We love you as we loved him. We plan to be there to fill some of the void: a void that we feel equally as strongly. And we will, together, continue to enjoy the warmth of his memory and the wealth of love and wisdom he left us.
-Ashok Vaish
